Biology Album Cover

This project began as an opportunity to explore how motion can inform design for music. This cover is a visual exploration of the idea of ‘constraint’ and ‘growth’. I used scans of flowers as a starting point to explore the idea of biology, the study of living organisms. I studied how classical biological texts constrain and frame their artwork and illustrations. The contrast of these two ideas is the basis of this self-directed project.
