Kathryn is a writer and director from Summerville, South Carolina. She moved to the UK twelve years ago to study at Central St. Martin’s.

Kathryn strives to tell complex family stories on the granular scale. She utilises the constraints of shooting on film in her practice.

Her most recent film Bunny’s Trick, follows a five-year-old girl struggling to understand her mother’s apathy during their usual bathtime routine. The film was selected as a top entry in the Straight8 competition and premiered at the BFI IMAX in London in 2025.

She is currently working on her next short film.
